RESOLUTION NO. 051523
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR HEARING ON UNSAFE OR DANGEROUS STRUCTURE PURSUANT TO K.S.A. 12-1750, et seq. AND PRATT MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 8.08.010 et seq.
WHEREAS, a report of an unsafe or dangerous structure has been made to the Governing Body of the City of Pratt by the Building Inspector of the City of Pratt concerning a secondary structure in the backyard that is unsafe, located on property legally described as follows:
Lots Nine (9) and Ten (10) in Block Eighteen (18) in Haskell’s Addition to the City of Pratt, Kansas, also known as 512 Austin Street, Pratt, Kansas 67124.
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Pratt that a hearing shall be held on July 3, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. in the City Commission Chambers at the Pratt City Office located at 619 South Main Street, Pratt, Kansas 67124 to determine whether such structure is unsafe or dangerous. Any owner, owner’s agent, lienholders of record, and any occupant of the subject structure may appear at such time and place and show cause why such structure should not be condemned and ordered repaired or demolished.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Pratt shall cause this Resolution to be published once each week for two consecutive weeks on the same day of each week.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution shall be mailed by the City Clerk of the City of Pratt by certified mail within three days after its first publication to each owner, owner’s agent, lienholder of record, and any occupant of the subject structure at the last known address and shall be marked “deliver to addressee only.”
